Palestinos: lágrimas de crocodilo e terrorismo

Who says that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas does not condemn terror attacks against civilians?

As it turns out, he and his Palestinian Authority (PA) do indeed condemn terrorism -- when it is directed against anyone but an Israeli. Israeli blood, it seems, is different.

Abbas led the international outcry after the June 3 London Bridge terror attack that left seven people dead and 48 injured.

A brief statement issued by Abbas's office read:

Quem diz que o presidente da Autoridade Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas, não condena os ataques terroristas contra civis?

Na verdade ele e sua Autoridade Palestina (PA) condenam o terrorismo - quando é dirigido contra alguém que não seja um israelense. O sangue israelense, ao que parece, é diferente.

Abbas liderou o protesto internacional após o ataque terrorista da London Bridge de 3 de junho que deixou sete pessoas mortas e 48 feridas.

Um breve comunicado emitido pelo escritório de Abbas dizia:

"The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, on Sunday condemned the terror attack in the British capital of London. His Excellency (Abbas) offered his deep condolences to Britain - its queen, government and people, and to the families of the victims of the terror assault. He affirmed his permanent rejection of all forms of terrorism."

This statement is in line with others Abbas has made recently. Just two weeks ago, Abbas, during a joint press conference with visiting U.S. President Donald Trump in Bethlehem, condemned the May 23 terror attack in the British city of Manchester, the deadliest attack in the United Kingdom since July 7, 2005, in which 23 people were killed and 119 were injured, 23 critically.

"O presidente do Estado da Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas, condenou no domingo o ataque terrorista na capital britânica de Londres. Sua Excelência (Abbas) ofereceu suas profundas condolências à Grã-Bretanha - sua rainha, seu governo e seu povo, e às famílias das vítimas do atentado terrorista. Ele manisfestou sua rejeição permanente a todas as formas de terrorismo".

Esta afirmação está em consonância com outras que Abbas fez recentemente. Apenas duas semanas atrás, Abbas, durante uma coletiva de imprensa conjunta com o presidente dos EUA, Donald Trump, que visitava Belém, condenou o ataque terrorista de 23 de maio na cidade britânica de Manchester, o ataque mais mortal no Reino Unido desde o dia 7 de julho de 2005, no qual 23 pessoas foram mortas, 119 feridas e 23 seriamente feridas.

Abbas described the terror attack as a "heinous crime" and said that the Palestinians were prepared to work with the U.S. as "partners in the war on terrorism in our region and the world."

Two days later, Abbas was among the first leaders to condemn a terror attack that killed 28 Coptic Christians in central Egypt. Once again, Abbas said that he and the Palestinians stood with Egypt and its president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in the war against terrorism.

This verbal charade has been going on for some time.

Last April, Abbas was quick to condemn the terrorist attack that took place on the Saint Petersburg Metro, in Russia, in which 15 people were killed and 45 injured. Abbas, in a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that he and the Palestinians support Russia in its war against terrorism.

Abbas descreveu o ataque terrorista como um "crime hediondo" e disse que os palestinos estavam preparados para trabalhar com os EUA como "parceiros na guerra contra o terrorismo na nossa região e no mundo".

Dois dias depois, Abbas foi um dos primeiros líderes a condenar um ataque terrorista que matou 28 cristãos coptas no centro do Egito. Mais uma vez, Abbas disse que ele e os palestinos apoiavam o Egito e seu presidente, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, na guerra contra o terrorismo.

Este jogo verbal vem acontecendo há algum tempo.

Neste último abril, Abbas rapidamente condenou o ataque terrorista ocorrido no metrô de São Petersburgo, na Rússia, onde 15 pessoas foram mortas e 45 feridas. Em uma carta ao presidente russo Vladimir Putin, Abbas disse que ele e os palestinos apoiam a Rússia na sua guerra contra o terrorismo.

Abbas also ran to condemn the wave of terrorist attacks that has hit Belgium, France and Germany in the past two years. This apparent repudiation of terrorism is a startling development for Abbas. The only catch is that when it comes to Israel, Abbas takes quite the opposite line.

For the past two years, Palestinians have been waging a new type of "intifada" against Israel -- one that consists of knife and car-ramming attacks, similar to the ones carried out in Britain, France and Germany. This wave of attacks, which began in September 2015, has claimed the lives of 49 people and injured more than 700. Since then, Palestinians have carried out more than 177 stabbings, 144 shootings and 58 vehicular attacks.

This wave of terrorism is the direct result of incitement by various Palestinian groups and leaders, including Abbas himself.

Abbas também apressou-se a condenar a onda de ataques terroristas que atingiram a Bélgica, a França e a Alemanha nos últimos dois anos. Este aparente repúdio ao terrorismo é uma revelação surpreendente de Abbas. A única questão é que, quando se trata de Israel, Abbas apresenta uma opinião oposta.

Nos últimos dois anos, os palestinos estão travando um novo tipo de "intifada" contra Israel - que consiste em ataques de faca e de carros em movimento, semelhantes aos realizados na Grã-Bretanha, na França e na Alemanha. Esta onda de ataques, que começou em setembro de 2015, tirou a vida de 49 pessoas e feriu mais de 700. Days before the violence erupted, Abbas stated:

"Every drop of blood that has been spilled in Jerusalem is holy blood as long as it is for Allah. Every martyr (Shahid) will reach paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded, Allah willing. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is ours, and they [Jews] have no right to defile it with their filthy feet. We will not allow them to [defile it], and we will do everything in our power to protect Jerusalem."

A few days later, Palestinians heeded Abbas's call by launching the newest wave of terrorist attacks against Israelis. These deadly attacks continue until this day. Abbas's remarks served as a catalyst for the new "intifada", one that is precisely parallel to the attacks we are witnessing on the streets of Paris, London and Berlin.

Dias antes da violência eclodir, Abbas declarou:

"Toda gota de sangue derramada em Jerusalém é sangue sagrado, contanto que seja por Alá. Todo mártir (Shahid) alcançará o paraíso, e todos os feridos serão recompensados, queira Alá. A Mesquita Al-Aqsa é nossa e eles [os judeus] não têm o direito de contaminá-la com seus pés imundos. Não permitiremos que eles [a maculem ], e faremos tudo o que estiver ao nosso alcance para proteger Jerusalém ".

 Poucos dias depois, os palestinos atenderam ao chamado de Abbas ao lançar a mais nova onda de ataques terroristas contra israelenses. Esses ataques mortais continuam até hoje. As declarações de Abbas serviram como um  catalisador para a nova "intifada", que é exatamente análoga aos ataques que estamos testemunhando nas ruas de Paris, Londres e Berlim.

Yet Abbas, the world's newest renouncer of terror, has chosen to refrain from rescinding his explicit call for Palestinians to butcher Jews in order to prevent them from "defiling" the Aqsa Mosque. Needless to say, Jews have neither desecrated nor caused any harm to the mosque. All they have been doing, as is permitted, is visiting the outdoor Temple Mount compound as tourists. Never have any of these Jews set foot inside the Aqsa Mosque.

But Abbas and the Palestinians have been exploiting Jewish visits to the Temple Mount to incite against Israel, thus triggering the current wave of stabbings and vehicular attacks.

Not only has Abbas failed to withdraw his deadly appeal to Palestinians to engage in terrorism, he has also refused to condemn the attacks that have claimed the lives of scores of Israelis and wounded hundreds of others.

So, here is the take-home: Abbas is against terrorist attacks anywhere in the world. Except in Israel, perpetrated by his own people and prompted by him.

No entanto, Abbas, o mais novo crítico do terror no mundo, optou por abster-se de revogar o seu clamor explícito de que os palestinos abatam os judeus para evitar que eles "contaminem" a Mesquita Aqsa. Não é preciso dizer que os judeus nunca profanaram nem causaram nenhum dano à mesquita. Tudo o que eles têm feito, como é permitido, é visitar o conjunto externo do Monte do Templo como turistas. Abbas não só falhou em suspender seu apelo mortal aos palestinos para se envolverem em terrorismo, como também recusou-se a condenar os ataques que tiraram a vida de dezenas de israelenses e feriram centenas de outros.

Então, aqui está a mensagem final: Abbas é contra os ataques terroristas em qualquer lugar do mundo. Exceto em Israel, perpetrado por seu próprio povo e por ele incentivado.

Adding to the hypocrisy, Abbas and his PA leadership often point an accusing finger at Israel for killing the terrorists who are carrying out attacks. Instead of condemning the perpetrators, Abbas and the Palestinians regularly accuse Israel of carrying out "extra-judicial killings" of the terrorists. In other words, Palestinian leaders save their condemnation for Israeli soldiers and policemen, for defending themselves and firing at those who come to stab them with knives and axes or try to run them over with their cars.

How would the British or French governments react if someone condemned them for killing the terrorists on the streets of Paris and London?

Has anyone in the West noticed Abbas's double standards in dealing with terrorism against civilians?

Em adição à hipocrisia, Abbas e sua liderança do PA muitas vezes apontam um dedo acusador contra Israel por matar os terroristas que estão realizando os ataques. Em vez de condenar os perpetradores, Abbas e os palestinos acusam regularmente Israel de realizar "homicídios extrajudiciais" dos terroristas. Em outras palavras, os líderes palestinos condenam os soldados e policiais israelenses, por defenderem-se, atirando contra aqueles que os apunhalam com facas e machados ou tentam atropelá-los com seus carros.

Como reagiriam os governos britânico ou francês se alguém os condenasse por matar terroristas nas ruas de Paris e Londres?

Será que alguém no Ocidente notou o duplo padrão de Abbas em lidar com o terrorismo contra civis?

Mas Abbas não só silencia quando seu próprio povo trucida os israelenses: ele nomeia ruas e praças usando os nomes de tais "heróis". Além disso, ele os recompensa ,bem como suas famílias, com o dinheiro dos contribuintes americanos e europeus. Talvez seja hora de os ocidentais perceberem que não há diferença entre um terrorista que se propõe a matar judeus e um terrorista que mata cidadãos britânicos, franceses e alemães.

De fato, ficou claro que os terroristas na Europa copiaram as táticas dos palestinos na realização dos esfaqueamentos, dos ataques com veículos e dos atentados suicidas.

As lágrimas de crocodilo de Abbas destinam-se a disfarçar lágrimas de alegria pelo terrorismo estar vivo e muito bem - certamente quando se trata do sangue israelense que seu próprio povo derrama em nome de Alá.
